Saturday DIY-Stencils!

One easy way to spruce up an old pair of shorts or jeans is to stencil on a print or design! DIY blogs all over the internet are featuring this quick style fix. The example I chose to use is a leopard print stencil on a pair of shorts. But obviously you are left to your own imagination on what to stencil on your clothes! Check it out..

How to: Leopard Print Short Shorts
You will need:
Shorts (we used a pair of the
BCBGENERATION Jackson shorts)
X-Acto knife
Leopard print stencil, you can print one
here
Fabric pen

1. Print and cut out leopard stencil with an X-Acto knife.

2. Place a piece of cardboard inside your shorts to prevent them from moving/keep them on a flat surface. Trace the outlines of the leopard print with your fabric pen.

3. Fill in each traced leopard spot.

Craving something to curve that sweet tooth? Here are a few bakeries to try the next time you're in the Boston neighborhood!

If cookies and cupcakes are your thing, Sugar Bakery in West Roxbury is the right place to go! Sugar Bakery has everything from croissants to hermits to ciabatta bread. They even have their own cookie creation called the 'bramble.' A bramble is basically a flaky sugar cookie with rasberry filling in the middle. Doesn't sound too bad to me! Check them out at 1884 Centre Street, West Roxbury

Monday Tips &Tricks-Fall Nail Trends

Fall is not just for comfy sweaters and new boots, its for nail color to! For the fall season, designers showed three nail trends down the runway: dark, pale, and French twist

Dark
This nail color trend is usually expected for fall. However, you can now get your hands on a variety of different dark shades besides the usual black or maroon.

Pale
The classic pale nail was also spotted all over the runways. You can't beat a polish that matches everything!

French Twist
The classic French manicure got a make-over for the fall season. Instead of white tips designers sprang for colors like red or even glitter.

Have any nail trends to share? Leave some comments! :)

Saturday DIY-Studs!

The stud trend is back for the Fall and bigger than ever! Studs are an easy and affordable way to make your look a little edgier. But why buy a studded item when you can make it yourself? Here are a few cool and easy ways to stud up your fall wadrobe!

First, you can spruce up your favorite tee or tank with some inexpensive studs that can be found at a craft store or fabric store. Just use adhesive backing or hot glue to attach the studs!

Another unique way to stud up your wadrobe is on your footwear! You can add studs to a plain pair of sneakers to jazz them up. Or, if you're feeling fierce, add studs to a pair of heels!

If you're not ready to embrace the stud trend head on, a simple pair of earrings may be more your speed. And the best part about these is you can make them yourself and its incredibly easy! All you need for this project is a hot glue gun, studs from a fabric or craft store, and earring posts and backs from a craft store like Michael's.

What do you think about the stud trend? Have any favorite items with studs? Any more DIY stud ideas? Let us know, we love your feedback! :)
