Now that it is almost August.. man the summer flew by.. it is time to think about smart purchases for clothing and accessories. It is important to be able to carry over the outfits that you are wearing now in the summer heat and wear them in the fall. A key to this is LAYERS. Most pieces you have will look great under sweaters and scarves!!!

Here are some inspirations we found that we will definitely be following this year as the weather cools and we need to get more bundled.

Wear a maxi dress with sandals NOW then pair with a jacket or boots for the LATER.

or ADD tights and booties to any dress to make it great for the Fall!

I will definitely be wearing this one. All the cute summer tops looks great paired with denim and a jacket. Don't forget the jewelry and other accessories!

Bright Color pants were huge this Spring/ Summer now carry those into the Fall with booties and sweaters!

Scarves will also be great pieces to add a touch of Fall to any outfit.

Here is one scarf that will be on everybody's shopping list!

It has an equestrian inspired look, perfect to pair with denim and tall riding boots.

Mix&Matching and layering of all styles and types of jewelry can paint a really fashionable picture! Fave Fridays- Tribal

Our Fave Friday trend this week is Tribal Prints!!!

This was our inspiration...

It is important to not try to compete with the print but wear solids that are in the same color scheme as the Tribal Prints. If your bottom are the tribal print then wear a solid top like the picture below. Ladies, you want all the eyes on the print :)

These boots are my absolute favorite! I would pair them with skinny jeans and a plain sweater  or button down. Maybe add a fun scarf as well. This is going to be my Go To Fall Outfit!

Reinvent Your Jewelry

So I’m sure we all have a necklace that would just look that much better if it was just a little longer or it is just a little boring! Well your in luck, Ashley Rose has the answer! All you need is a standard chain that I am sure we all have in our jewelry box--doesn’t really matter the length 16”, 18”, 20”…

Simply strip the chain of any charms and unhook the clasp on the chain. Next grab the necklace that needs some length and unhook the clasp on it as well.

Feed the chain through the side of the chunky necklace that does not have the clasp on it. Then hook the clasp on the chain.

Take the clasp from the chunky necklace and hook it through the link on the chain so you now have a connected necklace!

You now have an awesome necklace that can be worn as a statement neckline or a longer necklace for those flowy tops!

Now let’s tackle that boring necklace!

How about adding a glitzy brooch to add a little sparkle! Simply pin the brooch through at least a link on the necklace to keep it in place and clip the brooch over the other layers of necklace and you have instantly given the necklace a whole new feel (o:

Ever think about wearing your necklace as a bracelet? We have! Start with the necklace hanging on your wrist.

Then start to wrap it around and around until it feels tight enough. The nice thing is if you can’t seem to wrap it tight enough you have the option of unhooking the necklace and hooking it tighter on the chain so it fits your wrist comfortably!

Now jazz it up even more--add some more bangles and call it a day (o:

Ill leave you with one last tip today (o: do you have any broken rings, brooches, ECT? How about using them as charms! It all depends on whether or not there is a loop that a chain can be fed through but take my necklace for example! The Ashley charm was a ring believe it or not! I simply snapped off the excess ring and fed the chain through the Y. The heart pendant was actually apart of a larger charm hoop. I snapped off all the metal that I didn’t want any more and was left with this loose hanging heart charm!

So I now leave it to you, let your creative juices run and reinvent all those boring or broken pieces of jewelry! We love new ideas so let us know what has worked for you (o:

Fave Fridays- Espadrilles!

Espadrilles!! Perfect way to add a COLORFUL POP to your summer dress or skinny jeans! The wedge gives more cushion and more control when walking but still gives your look the cute look of wearing heels! Espadrilles are trendy this summer and they come in ALL styles and colors! There are low espadrilles for people who can't master walking in high heels (you do not want to be that woman who everyone can point out as the one who can't walk in heels). Then you have the trendy strappy espadrilles in all patterns; florals and stripes! Even incorporate last week’s FAVE FRIDAY with COLOR BLOCKING with your espadrilles!!!! Have fun with them!! The Roslindale Village Main Street Farmers’ Market will be held every Saturday from June 2 – October 27, 2012  in Adams Park, Roslindale’s picturesque village green, from 9 am to 1:30 pm.

They feature an average of twenty-five vendors weekly, selling a range of fresh produce, fruit, meat, honey, cheese, preserves, local baked goods and handcrafted items.  With live acoustic music and kids’ activities every week, the Farmers’ Market offers a vibrant community gathering spot throughout the summer.

Top It Off's Favorite is Sophias Grotto. They offer delicious mediterranean dishes with a cozy european patio to enjoy catching up with friends. They were voted Best Al Fresco Dining in Boston by Boston's Magazine. Check them out!
